Who Are We ?

Welcome to Mahavir Singh Memorial Trust Since November 1992

Establised in the memory of great Freedom Fighter of India, Late Shri Mahavir Singh (1907-1992) on 28th November 1992, the mission of Mahavir Singh Memorial Trust is social and national service.

Mahavir Singh Memorial Trust has been registered under the Indian Trust Act on 17th February 1993. The Trust is also registered under 12A of Income Tax Act 1961, and donors to the Trust can avail tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act (in India).

The Head Office of the Trust is located at the village: Bishanpur, Post office:Baika Bishanpur, Via: Ghoghardiha, District: Madhubani (Bihar), PIN Code-847402 (INDIA). Trust has also its branch/camp office in Delhi.

The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees, and it works with the charitable motive of social service or service of humanity as whole with special focus on sustainable development without distinction of caste, creed, color, religion or region.

The Chairperson/ President of the Trust is also the executive Trustee. However, day to day work of the Trust is attended by the Secretary. The main source of Trust Fund has been donation from the public, grant-in-aid from Government and different donor agencies / corporate Houses.

How you can help to achieve the mission?

  • By giving donation through cheque / draft / cash for genenal development and charitable activities.
  • By fully funding the construction of building, rooms for school / hospital which could be named after you or as per your choice.
  • By sponsoring a child under “Sponsoe a Child Scheme”. You have to adopt a child and finance his / her education up to class 10th, class 12th or above. For that you will have to pay Rs. 12000.00 per child per annum which may be of great help for educating the children from weakest of the weaker families.
  • By donating a vehicle (jeep, car, ambulation, van, boat) to used for the community development works and reliefy-works by the Trust.
  • By giving help in kind like blankets / clothing for the poors, medicines/ medical equipments, furniture, books, stationary or other useful equipments, needed for the purpose of charity, community education and development activities.

Mission & Main Objective

To work for the promotion of the values of freedom, social unity and equality, social equity love for mother land and working for the prosperity of the masses in general a deprived section in particular.

Education of the masses, eradication of illiteracy and inculcation of scientific, temper and reading habits through various means, including establishment of Libraries and Rural Knowledge Centers.

Improvement of public-health and sanitation, to spread family-welfare awareness, and small family norms through various programmes. To open and run rehabilitation and de-addiction clinics for the drug-addicts, helping handicapped, differently abled, orphaned and old age people by all means. Generating awareness against the danger of AIDS, and making all efforts to halt its spread.

Welfare of women and children, eradication of social evils like dowry system, infanticide and discrimination against women and girl-child in particular.

Development of village and cottage industries, folk art, painting, dance and drama. Improvement of Rural livelihood.

To encourage sports, games, physical culture and other activities of adventure among youth. Promotion of agriculture, including fishery, dairy, poultry and other rural income generating occupations. Watershed development and its management and extending irrigation facilities in the villages.

Preservation of ecological balance, wild life protection, aforestation, tree-plantation and to work against all types of pollution.

A Sustainable Community development in environment friendly way, so that global warming would be prevented to provide food, shelter and medical care for needy.

Relief of the poor and alleviation of human suffering of all kinds, which including flood, fire or calamities.
